Staycation Stop #2 Santa Cruz

It was really nice to get home and go for a local ride with "the Hammer."  Recently we seem to never be home at the same time and rarely get to ride together.  We decided to go out for a little xc session on our Santa Cruz Nomads in the Forest of Nisene Marks.  I hadn't been up that way in a while and the Aptos Creek Fire Road was riddled with landslides and fallen trees.... Apocalypse anyone?  After grinding up to the overlook we ripped it down a favorite singletrack fringed with the best oily plant ever..... POISON OAK....

The following day I had the opportunity to ride some of our awesome trails on the westside of town with ripper chicks Rosie and Megan.  We kept it deliciously downhill for the day...

More of the same yesterday with an end of day rainy session at the Epicenter Pumptrack with the super nice guys that work there.  Great shop in a perfect location, right at the entrance to Nisene Marks.  They even have amazing fresh brewed coffee.
