Northstar Trail Crew = Awesome
words by Lindsay Currier
Keeping heavily ridden trails ridable, safe and fun requires a ton of work. Think hours of dusty, sweaty toiling under the hot hot sun with shovels, rakes and mcleods. These guys bust a$$ Monday through Friday to keep the bike park in the best shape possible for your riding pleasure. But of course, before anything fun and new can be built, "necessary" projects must be finalized first, such as; buffing out beginner trails, digging drainage ditches and stuffing "wattles" for erosion control. Once these tasks are finished the crew can move on to more exciting endeavors...
Remember that sweet looking wood ramp I posted earlier this summer? Well it is finally being put to use. Look for it soon in zone 3 of Livewire where it will serve as the ramp of a step up that will lead to a big drop. Have fun and remember to thank your trail crew!
