Interbike Exposed: Allsport Dynamics
I had the unfortunate luck of spraining my wrist two days before the dirt demo. How was I able to go shred the fun rocks in Bootleg Canyon? I wore my Allsport Dynamics wristbrace! I originally got one last January when I broke my right wrist. I was out snowboarding after two weeks and back on my mountain bike in about four. My doctor thought the design was incredible. The OTS wristbrace enabled me to go out and rip the downhill trails at Northstar with confidence all summer long. I definitely punched the ground several times, with no ill effects.
I love the open palm construction because it allows me to comfortably grip my handlebars. You can also easily adjust the extension of your wrist that the brace allows. This is great when you are in the healing process and have not yet regained a full range of motion. My only complaints about the original brace I had were the stringy lacing system (because my arm is so skinny) and the part that attached to my hand frequently came unattached (no bueno). These two issues have been completely eliminated. A new strap system has been added to hold the brace securely to your forearm and you can send in your gloves to have them custom fitted to your brace! Add to that the possibility of custom paint jobs. So If you are looking to get back on the bike after and injury and/or prevent a future one, check these guys out.
