Interbike Exposed: Dirt Demo - Specialized SX Trail

So last week Kirstie and I ventured off to the land of Las Vegas.  Typically I do not like this city, but when most of the bike industry is in town and you have an opportunity to test ride and fondle new and bikes products... its pretty tolerable.  Plus it was raining, that's extra lucky.  Our mission?  To bring you ladies the info you need to know so you can be getting all shreddy in 2012.  We have a line up of bike, clothing, and product reviews coming at ya.

So first off, we wanted to test the Specialized Status.  This new whip is here to replace the Big Hit.  Think entry level affordable downhill fun.  You know, because we can't all afford V-10s.  We waited around a long freaking time for the one small demo they brought and decided if wasn't going to happen.  But life is all about adapting to the current situation.  So instead, Kirstie got set up with an SX Trail.  If you want to know more about the Status... google it :).

Kirstie was pretty impressed with this little freeride rigs "crisp" pedaling ability.  She felt the 65.5 degree headtube angle made the bike feel really responsive when cornering.  The seven inches of travel allowed her to "float" over rock sections while remaining in total control.

Kirstie gets rad on our secret Bootleg trail :)
